In the Spotlight!

All libraries in Allegheny County, including Brentwood Library, are working on a plan to reintroduce limited services sometime this summer, however at this time library facilities will remain closed as the county remains in the early stages of the yellow phase.

Initial services this summer may include providing some curbside delivery of materials and other limited services upon request. We will keep our website updated as these services become available.

We appreciate your continued patience as we work on acquiring all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our staff and figuring out the logistics of restarting the complex systems that keep our library going. The health and safety of our staff and patrons is our first priority. We miss you and are eager to serve you in person as soon as possible!

Some FAQs:
Can I return materials? Sure, but you don't have to just yet. You can return materials to our book box located outside of the library, but please note that the countywide system is not prepared to accept check-ins yet, so the items will still be reflected on your account for now.

Am I being charged fines for materials I have at home or for returned materials that are still showing on my account? No. You will not owe fines on these materials. As we eventually work on checking in the backlog of returned items, all fines will be waived.

Are you accepting donations? We currently are NOT accepting any donations, though we appreciate the thought. Since we need to quarantine all items coming into the building, and since we have quite a backlog of system-wide materials, we do not have the space or staff time to devote to handling donated items at this time.
